First Common Visa Application Centre opened in Moldova

While the Commission proposal for a regulation on setting up a legal framework for the organisation of Member States’ consular offices to enhance consular co-operation is still under negotiation, a pilot project for the setting up of common visa application centres has been launched in Moldova on a Hungarian initiative. The official opening of this common visa office has been on 25.4.2007.
