The paper persents a global analysis of social insecurity of workers and migrants all around the world and it defines, at the opposite, social security as a Human Right.
The ILO hopes that it will give a contribution to a wider debate between «social security stakeholders, researchers, practitioners and desision-makers as to how provide some form of social security to the majority of the world’s populations» and to ensure that the human right to social security can be made reality (art.22 of the United nation’s Declaration of human rights).
