This Flash Eurobarometer survey on discrimination in the EU was carried out on the request of the European Commission, Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities – Unit G 4. The survey measured the awareness on the 2007- European Year of Equal Opportunities for All; perceptions of discrimination in the areas of housing, healthcare, education and when buying products, insurance policies or when using services; personal experiences of discrimination; and support for national legislation against discrimination. The survey was carried out between 1/25/2008 and 1/29/2008 in the 27 EU Member States.
