The question of migrant status is yet discussed by the UE, but it is also analyzed in this canadian working paper of the Ontarion Metropolis Center Ceris.

The paper examines the canadian situation, defined by several catagories, such as temporary immigrants, refugees and visitors, and it tries to show the irregular and illegal aspects of these migration phenomena, produced by the State policy.
