Co-Director of European MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Co-Director of the International Master "Penal Systems Compared and Social Problems" in the Independent University of Mexico (UAM-Azcapotzalco) and Independent University of Hidalgo.

At the present time he is Professor Titular of the Departament de Dret Penal i Ciencies Pénals - Facultat de Dret of the Universitat of Barcelona (UB) (Spain) and, also, like CAP d’Estudis in Criminologia i Política Criminal (UB).
As from 2000, he is coordinator of the Ph. D. Programme in Law, Special Field on Sociology of Criminal Law, Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences-University of Barcelona (Spain), and also Studies Director on Criminology and Criminal Policy, Law Faculty-University of Barcelona (Spain).
He was Scientific Director of the International Institute for the Sociology of Law (ILSL)-(Oñati- Guipúzcoa, 1993-1995).
Also, he has been visiting Professor in different Universities, among others, the Universities of Zulia, Merida, Central (Venezuela); Externado, National, Libre (Colombia); Autónoma, National Autónoma of Mexico (Mexico); Rosario, Santa Fe, Cordoba, Buenos Aires (Argentina); Padova, Bologna, Milano and Rome (Italy); Frankfurt a. M., Saarland, Berlin (Germany); Cambridge, Oxford and Cardiff (United Kingdom).
He has published 205 collaborations in European and American magazines specialized in legal sociology and political sociology, criminology and penal law.
