In a letter of 18 March 2005, the Minister of Interiors informs the Dutch Parliament on the practice of the so-called CT Infobox (cooperation mechanism between different national authorities involved with anti terrorism policy, see our report to the CHALLENGE observatory of October 2004).
According to the Minister, this CT Infobox is not a central information point accessible to everyone searching information in the fight against terrorism. The Minister describes the result of the actual practice as ‘promising’ and in accordance with the expectations of the participating organisations. The letter remains vague on the practical results. Until now, the information retrieved through the CT Infobox would not have lead to any administrative or criminal measures.
