Kanishka Jayasuriya’s new book «Reconstituting the Global Liberal Order: Legitimacy and Regulation» (London: Routledge, 2005) argues that the events of September 11 have lead to a global order which is the result of the evolving methods and forms of governance as much as the new role of the United States in the world system. Exploring the transformation of international as constitutional politics, the author examines the nexus between domestic politics, the constitutional structures and the new global order. Finally, he analyses how the economic and political pressures are impacting the post- war framework of international liberalism.
