This reports deals, among other themes, with the relation between the involvement of the military on the national territory and the practices that prevail in external operation (for example through the transfer of «lessons learned» from one field to another). The case study deals with the engagement of the British army in Northern Ireland while relating this engagement to the involvement of the UK in Kosovo.
