  • The Visegrad States : Between Schengen and Neighbourhood

    7 November 2005
The report presents the findings and recommendations of a multinational project, « Feasibility Study for Consular and Visa Cooperation Among Visegrad States for Residents of Ukraine and Moldova,» conducted by four policy centres under the auspices of the Local Government Initiative of the Open Society Institute in Budapest from September 2004 until September 2005. Co-ordinated by the Institute of Public Affairs (Poland), the work has been pursued according to a single methodology by the researchers from the Center for Policy Studies at Central European University (Hungary), EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy (Czech Republic), and the Slovak Foreign Policy Association. The research would not have been possible without the assistance from the ministries of foreign affairs and of interior of the four Visegrad states or without the expertise and logistical support from the partner research institutions in Ukraine (International Centre for Policy Studies) and Moldova (Institute of Public Policy).
