  The new edition of the OSCE Handbook provides basic information on the OSCE. Following a background and historical description it presents OSCE?s activities, documents, institutions and instruments in the three dimensions of security (politico-military dimension; economic and environmental dimension; human dimension). It provides information also on OSCE’s external cooperation with other international organizations and OSCE Partner States.

• Countering intolerance and discrimination against Muslims purpose of OSCE meeting in Cordoba

  On 9 and 10 October 2007 in Cordoba, Spain the Spanish OSCE Chairmanship organized the OSCE Chairmanship Conference on Intolerance and Discrimination against Muslims. At the conference the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos said: «It is logical that we avoid the risk of a new racism appearing that will disrupt social relations and damage human rights and our very security.» According to the the OSCE Secretary General, Marc Perrin de Brichambaut «OSCE sees combating intolerance and discrimination against Muslims ? as an integral part of our conflict prevention and crisis management activities.»
